This Privacy Policy explains how STARWISH LIMITED (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information through the Ginko platform.
1. Information We Collect We collect personal information from you, including information about your:
- Identity: Name and contact information.
- Technical Data: Computer or network details, and interaction data with our platform.
- Financial Context: Billing or purchase information and Aggregated Financial Data provided by you or through authorized integrations.
2. Purpose of Collection We collect this information to provide:
- High-precision financial data visualization.
- Automated net worth tracking via our proprietary Event Sourcing engine.
- AI-driven asset insights tailored to your personal financial landscape.
3. Data Sharing & AI Processing Besides our internal staff (on a strict need-to-know basis), relevant user-provided information may be processed by third-party AI providers only after you choose an AI-powered feature and allow AI data use in the app. This processing is for the sole purpose of generating responses, transcription, tag suggestions, and summaries in Ginko.
- Secure AI Infrastructure Providers (Claude by Anthropic and OpenAI): When you use Ask / Tell Ginko, your message, relevant portfolio and ledger context, and any image you attach may be transmitted securely to these providers so they can process the request and return a response. Voice input may send audio recordings for transcription. Auto Tagging may send asset or transaction summaries for tag suggestions.
- No Model Training: Your data is not used by Starwish to train AI models, and we do not permit third-party AI providers to use your data to train their models.
4. Your Choice & Optional Information Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter aggregated financial data or third-party account integrations, we will be unable to provide automated net worth tracking, AI-powered portfolio insights, or historical trend visualizations within the Ginko platform.
5. Data Security & Storage
- Encryption: All sensitive financial data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Event Integrity: Our system uses event-sourced ledgers to ensure the absolute integrity and traceability of your financial history.
- Location: We use cloud infrastructure that may be located outside New Zealand, including in jurisdictions such as Australia and the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border data transfers.
6. AI Disclaimer & Accuracy Ginko utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze data. AI-generated insights do not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. While we strive for precision, AI can produce inaccuracies or “hallucinations.” Users are responsible for verifying all figures before making financial decisions.
7. Your Rights & Account Deletion You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected.
- Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated financial data at any time via the App settings or by contacting us.

8. Children’s Privacy Ginko is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions).
